VHS is a not-for-profit project founded by Cody Thomas in 2017. VHS loosely stands for Visual Artists Helping Spokane. It is an art club with the main goal to help those in need.
VHS’s visual esthetic is somewhat fluid, but takes inspiration from 80’s and early 90’s collage art, retro/vaporwave culture, and cult film fandom. VHS projects include art shows, a zine publication and weekly art prompts.
